A background sync never writes silently. New items always land in the review queue and appear in the week only after you confirm them.

Who connected this

Either the student or a parent may hold the school login and perform the connection. PACE records who connected each source, and either party can disconnect. Imported data is student data regardless of who imported it — the parent portal still shows only what the visibility rules allow.
